Prior to my 22 Tundra 1794 HV, I had at ‘12 Tacoma TRD OR 4x4. Personally not rubbed wrong, I think this is an good, interesting question. I’ve driven Toyota for 25 years, 4Runners, Prius, Camry hybrid, and recent. My initial innocent responses I feel the same way about American trucks. Plus, it seems like you’re driving a lot of diesels, which is a completely different category regarding power, many of my friends have driven diesels and I get it. Ask around and you’ll get a lot of people wishing that the Hilux was sold here in the states. Personally, I like the style of the cabin, exterior and the community. Not to mention that the cars are extremely reliable, compared to the American competition. And then there’s the entire category and community of off-roading an over landing. Hands down it’s Lexus and Toyota! Give the Tundra a chance. It’s a pretty baller truck, especially having moved up from the midsize Tacoma. At the end of the day it’s personal preference, and you have those experiences with those other American trucks, that may be your thing. I love that you’ve got a 4Runner in the family 🤘🏽 Happy trails~
