I got to drive a few of them for a day in October and spent about half the day at the off road course. And then at Tundra’s to Sedona we had the TRD Pro and went for a few spins in that at full speed in the Cinders which is a great place for high speed whoop sections and low traction climbing and shenanigans.

The Pro was impressive in stock forout there and we all couldn’t believe how smooth it was through the choppy shit and deep stuff too.

I can’t speak for the toughness of the wheels themselves, but they’re BBS and I don’t think will ever have a performance issue.

I’d slap some large tires on a Pro and call it a good time.

But the driving portion started with an hour drive in the new truck from the hotel to the #testdrive venue, so our first experience in the truck was to just get in and go. Pandra and I will be going live on IG this evening, Pacific time to share more about how the truck handles and answering questions (we know pretty much everything but price and mpg. I don’t think Toyota even knows those yet). Join us later for all the details, but I can finally say out loud… This truck sets a new bar for half ton pickups, and the bar is high! Hang up your hangup about losing the V8. Even the base twin turbo V6 blows it away - let alone what the hybrid can do! (Yes, we drove them like that 😀😂. Sorry, not sorry #toyota)."

This was our chance to really share with everyone what the new #tundra is like. I was floored at how well it handled the choppy cinders and how well the Pandra followed driving instruction."

the engine was super smooth the whole time. The sound is kind of weird. They have this fake sound pumping through the speakers and it sounds like they recorded a V8 and a flat 4 together. If you’re familiar with exhaust notes of V6 and other engines, it’s really weird. I’d like to be able to turn that function off and just hear the actual engine.
